Pricing at Scale: How AI Helps Retailers Protect Margin Across 50,000+ SKUs

Join DS Stream on September 30 at 3:00 PM CEST for a live webinar exploring how AI-powered pricing optimization helps retailers protect margins, reduce excess inventory, and make better pricing decisions at scale.

For retailers managing large assortments, pricing is becoming one of the most complex commercial challenges. Every pricing decision impacts profitability, inventory levels, customer demand, and competitive positioning. The difficulty grows exponentially with scale.

A retail organization managing 50,000+ SKUs can face thousands of pricing decisions every day. Traditional approaches based on spreadsheets, static rules, and manual analysis simply can't keep up with that level of complexity. The result is often missed margin opportunities, inventory risk, and inconsistent decision-making across the portfolio.

During this webinar, we'll explore how AI helps retailers move from reactive pricing to intelligent, data-driven decision-making. You'll see how modern pricing optimization platforms combine demand forecasting, price elasticity analysis, inventory intelligence, and scenario simulation to recommend the next best action for every SKU while maintaining full business control through pricing policies, governance rules, and approval workflows.

What we'll cover

  • Why pricing becomes increasingly difficult as assortments grow. Discover why traditional pricing processes struggle in high-SKU retail environments and where organizations typically lose profitability.
  • How AI supports pricing decisions at scale. Learn how AI uses demand signals, elasticity modeling, and scenario simulation to recommend pricing actions tailored to individual products.
  • Balancing margin protection and inventory reduction. See how retailers can optimize pricing while simultaneously protecting profitability and reducing excess stock.
  • Governance and business control. Understand how pricing guardrails, margin thresholds, approval workflows, and business rules ensure recommendations remain aligned with commercial objectives.
  • Measuring impact before scaling. Explore how A/B testing and controlled experimentation help organizations validate pricing strategies and measure business outcomes before broader deployment.

Live Demo

The session will include a live demonstration of AI-powered pricing optimization in action, showing how retailers can:

  • identify margin opportunities across large product portfolios,
  • detect inventory risks early,
  • evaluate pricing scenarios before implementation,
  • apply governance controls to pricing decisions,
  • measure the impact of pricing changes.

The webinar will conclude with a live Q&A session.
